Update 14/11/2025: Beverentunnel open in both directions
We opened the tunnel in both directions at 5 a.m. on November 13th. Demolition and repair works on the mitigating measures on the diversion route have begun. As a result, one-way traffic to Ghent on the diversion route will remain in place until December 4th. More information can be found under “Traffic situation from November 13th 2025”.
Why a renovation?
The Beverentunnel was in need of modernisation. This is why we executed a complete renovation. We made alterations to the structure and supply systems, while getting the tunnel ready to meet the energy- and climate-related challenges of the future.
The completely renovated tunnel opened in both directions on November 13th, 2025 at 5.00 AM.
In the coming weeks we will demolish and repair the mitigating measures along the diversion route. Therefor one-way traffic to Ghent on the diversion route will remain in place until December 4th. More information can be found under “Traffic situation from November 13th 2025".
